SHAKE up your life: Peanut Butter Protein Shakes

Updated: Jul 12, 2020

Have you ever finished a workout ready for your tasty post-workout snack to be left disappointed by your remaining dry protein bar? This simple and tasty protein smoothie will shake your life up and solve your post-workout woes.

For those who are just looking for a tasty and healthy drink without the exercise, fret not! This shake is simple, low calorie, and packed with protein to keep you energized throughout the day!

The recipe for this shake is inspired by TikTok and consists of one banana, a scoop of vanilla protein, your milk of choice, one tablespoon of peanut butter, and a smoothie maker. For those looking for extra cooling after a tough workout (or a hot day), you can add three ice cubes.

When adding each of these ingredients into your mixer jar, make sure to pay careful attention to your banana. Cut it up before putting it in to ensure that the ingredients blend together for a smooth consistency. This makes a HUGE difference for those that are turned away from foods and drinks due to a chunky feeling.

RESULTS

I took the time to create this shake and refrigerate it before one of my workouts. Boy, what a great choice that was! Sipping this after a tough 30 minutes of exercise provided me with immediate refreshment and a feeling of revitalization in my body. Not only that, but the taste was one that was unparalleled compared to the store bought protein shakes I have been used to purchasing. Who knew that a 2 minute recipe could bring me so much joy? Certainly not me!

VERDICT:

I would highly recommend this protein shake to anyone looking for a new tasty drink. Whether you are looking to meet your daily protein intake or to sip on something as you work on your laptop, this smoothie is for you!
